: Determine What to Ship |
This
might be one of the hardest tasks in making aliyah
- unless you're going to ship everything you own.
When determining what to ship, keep in mind the following
ideas: 1) value (sentimental, dollar and replacement),
2) cost to ship vs. the cost to buy in Israel,
3) size of residence in Israel, or
will it fit the room comfortably? and finally
5) can you, or your family live without it? |

: Volume Estimation |
Once
you have a idea of what you want to ship, determine
the volume of it, and see if fits in your financial
plans (see next step).
An easy, non-invasive way of doing this prelimary
estimation is with an Aliyah Lift Calculator (ALC).
